Sustainable Demolition jobs & Careers at Perks Deconstruction

Perks Deconstruction is growing — and we’re looking for top talent to join our team in Denver. If you're experienced in the trades, passionate about sustainability, and ready to make a real impact, we want to hear from you.

We specialize in sustainable demolition, also known as deconstruction — carefully dismantling residential and commercial spaces to recover valuable materials and reduce waste. Our team delivers exceptional service, and we’re proud to be a trusted name in Denver’s construction and demolition industry.

  • JOB OPENING: RECLAIMED WAREHOUSE RETAIL ASSOCIATE

    ● Are you a self-driven, organized, and detail-oriented person who loves reclaimed materials and sustainable building?

    ● Do you enjoy a mix of independent warehouse work, customer interaction, and digital retail tasks?

    ● Would you like to join a team that values sustainability, honesty, and accountability?

If you answered “YES” to the above, we’d love to hear from you!

    COMPANY:

We take a surgical approach to demolition in order to salvage and recycle building materials. The majority of what we recover makes its way to our retail warehouse, where the focus is on organization, resale, and connecting customers with quality reclaimed materials.

At our retail warehouse, we’re passionate about sustainability and giving new life to old materials. We sort, organize, and display reclaimed lumber, cabinetry, fixtures, and more so they’re accessible to builders, makers, and homeowners.

We’re looking for a Reclaimed Warehouse Retail Associate to support this mission by receiving and organizing reclaimed materials, managing inventory, assisting customers, and maintaining a clean and safe workspace. This role balances hands-on warehouse work with customer service and online sales, ensuring our reclaimed goods find their next use. Our warehouse is both a retail store and a hub for sustainability, and we’re excited to welcome someone who shares our passion for giving materials a second life.

    POSITION TYPE:

Hours & Schedule: 3 days per week, Monday through Saturday, typically in 9-hour shifts (including breaks). The position may be structured as part-time initially, with the plan to ramp up to full-time within 6 months, depending on candidate qualifications, availability, and warehouse needs.

Location: 6800 A East 53rd Pl Commerce City, CO 80022

    Pay & Benefits:

    ● Hourly Pay: $20.00 - $25.00, based on experience and qualifications

    ● Commission: Earn commission on sales after the first 30 days

    ● Employee Perks: In-store employee discount on reclaimed materials

    ● Part Time Benefits: Sick Pay Accrual (PTO and Health Coverage available for full time staff).

    ● Applications accepted on a rolling basis until the position is filled

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    ● Inventory and Organization: Receive incoming reclaimed materials, inspect quality, and accurately record inventory while keeping the retail warehouse efficient, safe, and accessible. Use creative problem-solving to organize unique, one-of-a-kind items in ways that make them easy for customers to browse.

    ● Customer Service & Sales: Assist customers in finding and selecting materials, offering knowledgeable guidance on reclaimed lumber, fixtures, and other salvaged items. Communicate clearly and professionally, helping customers understand both product details and the value of reuse.

    ● Forklift Operation: Safely operate a forklift (training available) to move, bundle, and organize materials. Perform light prep work when needed, such as bundling, measuring, or cleaning reclaimed items.

    ● Cash Handling & Transactions: Process sales accurately, handle cash responsibly, and keep clear sales and inventory records using POS and digital systems.

    ● Online Listings & Digital Work: Create and maintain online product listings with clear descriptions, accurate pricing, and timely updates. Balance hands-on warehouse work with digital retail tasks, ensuring inventory is tracked both physically and online.

    ● Safety & Cleanliness: Maintain a safe, clean, and organized warehouse environment, proactively identifying and addressing potential hazards.

    ● Independent & Team Work: Manage daily responsibilities independently on solo days, making confident decisions and solving problems as they arise.

Collaborate effectively with teammates on shared projects, providing proactive communication and timely updates to keep everyone aligned.

    REQUIREMENTS:

    ● Self-Starter & Problem Solver: Works independently, takes initiative, and applies creative problem-solving to daily challenges.

    ● Organized and Detail-Oriented: Manages inventory accurately and maintains a clean, efficient workspace.

    ● Customer Focused: Personable and engaging, with enthusiasm for helping people and promoting sustainable building practices.

    ● Forklift Operation: Experience preferred; training available.

    ● Cash Handling & POS: Comfortable with transactions and recordkeeping.

    ● Physical Abilities: Lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in a warehouse environment.
